The African Action Congress has warned that the 2019 presidential candidate of the party, Omoyele Sowore, was not its candidate for the 2023 presidential election. This was contained in a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Sylvester Cletus, on Wednesday, which noted that Sowore was expelled from the party in 2019. The party stated that it needed to clear the air regarding Sowore’s candidacy following purported claims that he was the AAC candidate for the 2023 presidential election. A married man and his lover have reportedly died while having sex in a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) at Jakande Estate in Isolo, Lagos. It was gathered that neighbors discovered that the pair had died on Sunday May 1, after noticing that the car had been on all through Saturday night, April 30, 2022. The man has been identified as Koyejo and he is said to have picked up his unnamed lover at Isolo while heading to his family house at Jakande Estate. The Nigeria Police Force has launched a manhunt for a lady seen having sex with a dog in a viral TikTok video. Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said posting bestial-natured videos online won’t be tolerated. Adejobi also vowed that the police would apprehend the lady in the viral video. In a terse statement to journalists on Sunday night, the FPRO said, “I really want us to take necessary action on these ladies that are involved in unnatural offences (including bestiality) and post same online. We want to urge you to give us any useful information on how to get these ladies. We need to fish them out please. Thanks.”

Embattled Governor Dapo Abiodun says his arrest in the United States over credit card fraud and forgery in 1986 is not sufficient grounds for his disqualification by the All Progressives Congress (APC). Mr Abiodun said APC as a political party lacked the power to disqualify him, stressing that only a competent court of law could do so had the statutes of limitations for such matters not passed.  “An aspirant or candidate will only be disqualified by the court if the false information he gives relates to a constitutional requirement of eligibility. APC is not a court of law. Accordingly, it cannot disqualify our client,” the governor’s lawyer wrote Abdulahi Adamu, APC chairman, citing section 29(6) of the Electoral Act 2022.   The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has warned distribution companies (DisCos) that it is their responsibility to buy, replace, or repair transformers and other equipment in power distribution and not consumers. In a statement entitled: “Electricity Consumer Right/Responsibility, the body said: “It is not the responsibility of the customer or the community to purchase, replace or repair transformers, poles or other associated equipment used in the distribution of electricity. “Faulty transformers are supposed to be replaced by the Electricity Distribution Company (DisCo) within 48 hours of the official complaint being made. The Electricity Distribution Company (DisCo) is responsible for such replacements or repairs.   It added: “If the Electricity Distribution Company (DisCo) is unable to speedily replace the faulty transformer, residents may go into discussions with the company and agree on the terms of the replacement of the aff...

As 2023 All Progressives Congress Lagos State Governorship primary election draws near, an Islamic rights group, Muslim Rights Concerns (MURIC), has rejected the endorsement of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for second term by members of the advisory council to Lagos Governor under the aegis of Governor Advisory Council (GAC), describing the move as robbing Peter to pay Paul. The group expressed its disagreement with the stance on Monday, arguing that the decision would amount to another Christian governor ruling the state for another term at the expense of Muslims. It said that it does not have any personal issues against the governor but that It was against the move by the GAC that was aware of the earlier arrangement, particularly before the 2019 election. A young Nigerian man had reportedly died after 7 rounds of hot sex competition which he engaged in.   The deceased identified as Davy reportedly died while riding his contender Loveth.  Davy had been reported to have staked 5,000 Naira to bet that he has more sexual prowess than Loveth who also insisted that the deceased would not withstand her strength. The duo had reportedly gone to a popular hotel in Ikotun area of Lagos to engage in the sex competition but unfortunately, Davy died after completing the 6th round and embarking on the 7th. He was said to have collapsed and died which got Loveth to cry out for help. Loveth was handed over to the Ikotun Police Division for investigation while the corpse was deposited at an undisclosed hospital for autopsy.   Loveth was later transferred to the SCIID Panti Yaba where she narrated the entire incident, the autopsy report will determine what charges would be preffered against her, if there is any.
